I’ve been a singer, guitarist, percussionist, and songwriter for Celtic-American folk rock band Emerald Rose since 1996; my major instrument for the band is the bodhran, or traditional Irish frame drum. Being a singer-songwriter, however, has been part of my musical life since I was a teenager, and my solo endeavors return to this root. Many of my songs take their inspiration from the mystical path, Earth-centered spirituality, and Celtic mythology. I also continue to sing songs from the Celtic and American folk traditions. In addition, I’m a storyteller, stage magician, and former actor and dancer, so I have many performance skills to draw on.
Spiral Rhythm is a group of friends that have been singing together for almost ten years. They began singing at bonfires, gatherings, and festivals. Slowly, they developed their unique sound complete with deep, multi-textured chants and explosive drums. Spiral Rhythm has gone through many changes, but their goal has always been the same-to raise the spirit through voice and song. The group features Ric Neyer, Kerri Upton, Kiki Williamson, Madison Cansler, Jon Skoglund, PJ Seale, and Kira Lang. All sing and play percussion. Kiki and PJ write the vast majority of the group’s uplifting songs. Spirit music, indeed!
A band of true collaboration and magic. This band will take you from deep inner workings, tribal jams and originals that will ignite the great dance!
The Mechanist & the Star Goddess
The Mechanist & The Star Goddess is a dynamic music & dance project with Tempest, Nathaniel Johnstone, and Davis Petterson. The band combines electric violin, heavy percussion, and mesmerizing movement to create a profound sight-and-sound experience. The inspiration and title of the project evokes the exploration of the liminal space between the confines of the precise concrete world and the limitless divine.
